Shiva is the auspicious one — the deity of dissolution, meditation, and the ecstatic stillness beyond form. His mantras are among the most chanted in the world.

In the Shaivite tradition, Shiva is not a distant god but the very ground of awareness itself. To chant a mantra to Shiva is to remember that the same silence at the center of you is what the universe is made of.
